Dj Jaivane – Mended Pieces

South African Amapiano DJ and producer DJ Jaivane returns with a new studio album titled Mended Pieces, a project that continues his reputation for delivering soulful, polished and emotionally rich piano music. Released on October 9, 2026, the album brings together a wide range of collaborators and explores different shades of Amapiano while keeping Jaivane’s signature sound at the centre.

Mended Pieces leans heavily into soulful melodies, smooth keys and deep rhythmic arrangements, giving the project a reflective feel without losing its dancefloor appeal. The title suggests healing, rebuilding and moving forward, themes that fit naturally with the warm and emotional character of the music.

The album features contributions from several artists and producers across the Amapiano scene, including Last Born, Kaymo Grillz, Ndibo Ndibs, Smilo, Wesley Keys, BitterSoul, Caramelized Music, Miikey Ndlovu, Camlo, Natasha MD, Happy Jazzman, Tots SA, Tribesoul, De Rose, Basaya, Zee_nhle, Philharmonic, Springle, Ciniso, Lady Du, uLazi and zem_sa.

Tracks connected to the project include “Come Duze,” “Ibele,” “Jabula,” “Phola” and “Malunde.” These songs highlight different sides of DJ Jaivane’s production, from deeper instrumental moments to more vocal-driven records, while maintaining a consistent Private School Amapiano influence throughout.

One of the project’s strengths is the way DJ Jaivane blends established Amapiano elements with newer ideas without making the album feel disconnected. The production remains clean and spacious, giving each collaborator enough room to contribute while preserving the overall mood of the project.

With Mended Pieces, DJ Jaivane delivers another carefully crafted Amapiano body of work that balances emotion, groove and collaboration. The album further strengthens his position as one of the genre’s most respected producers while offering listeners a project suited for both relaxed listening and late-night dance sessions.
