031Choppa – Run Jozi

South African producer, 031Choppa comes through with a new project titled “Run Jozi EP". an EP that continues his blend of Amapiano, hip-hop and street-inspired South African sounds.

The project arrives during a productive period for 031Choppa, who has remained active through collaborations and singles across 2025 and 2026. His recent releases include “Fast Fast” with Al Xapo and Benzoo, as well as “ZEP” with ZinedinexSguche and DJ Smallz. “Fast Fast” was released in March 2026, while “ZEP” has continued to perform across several African Apple Music markets.

Run Jozi fits naturally into 031Choppa’s catalogue, which has long connected his KwaMashu background with Johannesburg’s fast-moving music culture. His 2021 album “Kwamashu To Ejozi” already explored that geographical and creative journey, while his later work expanded further into Amapiano.

That genre shift became even more noticeable on “The Playbook,” his 2025 collaborative album with Djy Biza, Shakes & Les and Ice Beats Slide. The eight-track project was officially categorised as Amapiano and featured a more dance-oriented direction, showing how comfortably 031Choppa can move between rap-driven music and club-focused production.

With Run Jozi, 031Choppa continues that flexible approach. The project carries a strong Johannesburg identity while maintaining the energetic production, catchy vocal performances and collaborative spirit that have become important parts of his recent sound.

His catalogue also includes earlier projects such as the “Rent Is Due” EP, which featured songs like “ZIYAWA” with Yumbs, further highlighting his ability to work across different South African styles and production environments.

Overall, 031Choppa’s “Run Jozi” EP is another energetic addition to his discography, bringing together Johannesburg-inspired atmosphere, Amapiano rhythms and the genre-blending style that continues to define his evolution as an artist.
